About Riftbound Gear
Gear is the card that stays. It costs Energy and Power like a unit or a spell and is played to your base, the place no one fights over, where it remains until something removes it. Where a spell does its work once and goes to the trash, gear keeps working: most gear has an ability behind an Exhaust cost, so it does its thing once a turn and readies again with the rest of your cards at the start of the next.
Equipment is the gear that attaches to a unit. A card with Equip names the cost of attaching it to a unit you control, and once attached it gives the unit what the card says, most often a bonus to its Might, for as long as the two stay together. The rest of the gear works from your base: an altar that draws when a unit dies, a henge that turns Energy into runes, a bar that buffs an exhausted unit. A deck may run up to 3 copies of any gear, and the signature gear belongs to one champion, the way the signature spells and units do.
The official card gallery lists 130 gear cards across five sets: 30 in Origins, 42 in Spiritforged, 19 in Unleashed, 15 in Vendetta and 24 in Radiance so far. 40 are equipment with Equip in their text and 8 are signature gear of 6 champions; by rarity that is 24 Common, 40 Uncommon, 34 Rare and 32 Epic. Their Energy cost runs from 0 to 10, with 2 the most common. 6 gear cards come again as showcase printings, listed on each card's page. Gold and Bomb are gear tokens that another card brings into play; they are listed with the tokens.
The list below shows the standard printing of every gear card, the newest set first. Open a card for its full text, cost and prices, or sort the list by Energy or price and narrow it to a domain, a rarity or a set.
