About Riftbound Battlefields

Battlefields are where Riftbound is fought. Each player brings 3 of them, apart from the main deck and the rune deck, and at the start of the game one battlefield of each player is chosen for the game, so a duel is played over two. Units are played to your base and move to a battlefield to fight for it, and the fights over a battlefield are the showdowns.

Points come from the battlefields. Taking control of a battlefield, by moving into an empty one or by winning the showdown over it, conquers it for a point, and still holding it when your next turn begins scores another. The first player to 8 points wins a duel, so the game is as much about keeping a battlefield as taking it.

Every battlefield has an effect of its own that applies to whoever fights there: a bonus to the units present, a card drawn when it is conquered, a cost made cheaper. The effects are what make a battlefield a choice rather than a place. All 74 are printed at Uncommon, sideways, and belong to no domain, so any deck may bring any of them.

The official card gallery lists 74 battlefields across five sets: 24 in Origins, 15 in Spiritforged, 15 in Unleashed, 10 in Vendetta and 10 in Radiance so far. Two more are tokens that enter play through another card's effect and cannot start the game; they are listed with the tokens. Packed Amphitheater has an Ultimate Rare printing in Radiance.

The list below shows every battlefield, the newest set first. Open a card for its full text and prices.
