About Riftbound Overnumbered Cards

An overnumbered card is a second printing of a card from the set with a number the set has no room for. Origins has 298 cards, so its overnumbered cards start at 299. The artwork is made for the card by artists at Riot rather than taken from League of Legends, and the card is finished in foil with texture over the art. It carries the hexagonal Showcase gem, whatever the rarity of the card it reprints.

The printing plays exactly like the standard card. It has the same name, text and cost, counts as a copy of it in a deck and is left out when the size of a set is reckoned, which is why the number runs past it. Riot has said it will not print the same artwork and frame again.

The official card gallery lists 105 overnumbered cards across five sets: 12 in Origins, 30 in Spiritforged, 18 in Unleashed, 31 in Vendetta and 14 in Radiance so far. 53 are Legends, 46 units and 6 gear. 45 of them come a second time with the artist's signature in foil and a star in the number, the signature printing, and since Unleashed a set can hold one overnumbered card printed as the Ultimate Rare, the hardest card of the set to find. Both are listed on the card's own page and explained in the rarity guide, with the odds of pulling each from a booster pack.

The list below shows the overnumbered cards by set, the newest first. The signed printings are not repeated here; open a card to see them.
