Product types
What each kind of Riftbound product is and what is inside it.
- What kinds of Riftbound products are there?Every Riftbound set comes in booster packs and displays of 24 packs with ready-made decks around them, and the newer sets add a Vault and a Pre-Rift kit. Beside the sets stand the Proving Grounds starter box, bundles and collector sets made for one occasion, and official art sleeves and playmats.8 min
- What is in a Riftbound booster pack?A Riftbound booster pack holds 14 cards from one set: seven Commons, three Uncommons, two cards of Rare or better, one foil card and one rune or token. A pack has a launch price of $4.99 and a display holds 24 of them.5 min
- What is a Riftbound booster display (booster box)?A booster display is the sealed box of 24 booster packs from one Riftbound set, 336 cards in all, which game stores also sell single packs from. Players often call it a booster box. Every display from Origins to Radiance has a launch price of $119.99.6 min
- What is in the Proving Grounds box?The Proving Grounds box of Riftbound holds four ready-to-play decks built around Annie, Garen, Lux and Master Yi, four acrylic champion figures to keep score with, four game boards, four oversized battlefields and a How to Play booklet, for two to four new players.7 min
- What is a Champion Deck?A Champion Deck is a ready-to-play Riftbound deck of 56 cards built around one champion: a Legend, a Main Deck of 40 cards, 12 runes and three battlefields, boxed with a booster pack, a paper playmat and a deck box. The seven decks of Origins, Spiritforged and Unleashed each had a launch price of $19.99.7 min
- What are Showdown Decks?Showdown Decks are a Riftbound product with two complete 56-card decks in one box, built around two rival champions and made to face each other. The box adds two booster packs and two paper playmats. Vendetta has Zed against Shen, and Radiance, with its release on 23 October 2026, has Seraphine against Evelynn.7 min
- What is a Riftbound Vault?A Vault is a Riftbound product that comes with each main set from Unleashed on: a card storage box with six booster packs of its set, 36 basic runes with six of each domain and three full art tokens. Every Vault announced so far has a launch price of $34.99.6 min
- What is in a Riftbound Pre-Rift kit?A Pre-Rift kit is the box of cards each player gets at a Pre-Rift event, the Sealed event stores hold in the week before a new Riftbound set comes out. It holds a 15-card pack built around one champion, five booster packs of the new set and a promo card.6 min
- What are the Riftbound bundles and box sets?Riftbound bundles and box sets are made for one occasion rather than for one set, such as the Arcane Box Set, the Worlds Bundle 2025, the Secret Garden Bundle and the Gift of the Rift Bundle. Most hold cards printed for them alone, and several were made in limited numbers.7 min
- Which official sleeves and playmats are there?Riftbound has official art sleeves and playmats for each set, sold in game stores. The Unleashed ones have four designs: 100 sleeves at a launch price of $16.99 and a 24 by 14 inch (61 by 35.6 centimeter) neoprene mat at $27.99. A few bundles add sleeves or a mat, and big events give prize playmats.6 min
Choosing products
Which product fits which player, from a first game to a full collection.
- Which Riftbound product should you get first? For most new players the best first Riftbound product is a ready-made deck. Proving Grounds suits two to four people who learn together, a Showdown Decks box suits two, and a Champion Deck suits one player who wants to play at a store. Booster packs, a display or a Vault make more sense after the first deck.8 min
- Is a booster display worth it?A Riftbound booster display is worth it for a player who collects one set, wants a big pile of its cards to build from or plans a Sealed or Draft night. At its $119.99 launch price it costs about the same as 24 single packs, and it rarely brings the exact cards a deck needs.7 min
- Should you open boosters or get single cards? For a deck you already have in mind, single cards are the quicker and surer route in Riftbound: one named Epic of Origins turns up in a booster display only about one time in seven. Booster packs suit Sealed and Draft, collecting a whole set and the fun of opening them.7 min
- Which Riftbound products are made for two players? The Showdown Decks are the one Riftbound product made for exactly two players: two complete decks built to face each other in one box, with a launch price of $34.99. Proving Grounds, the starter box for two to four players, and a pair of Champion Decks also give two people a deck each.7 min
- Which Riftbound product makes a good gift?A good Riftbound gift depends on who opens it. Someone new to the game needs a ready-made deck, such as Proving Grounds, a Showdown box or a Champion Deck. A player gets more from booster packs, a Vault or art sleeves, and a collector from one chosen showcase card.7 min
Prices and availability
What products cost, why the price moves and how long a product stays around.
- What did Riftbound products cost at launch?A Riftbound booster display of 24 packs has a launch price of $119.99, about $5 a pack, a Champion Deck $19.99, and a Showdown box or a Vault $34.99. Proving Grounds launched at $29.99 and its reprint is $39.99. These prices are the same from Origins to Radiance, with its release on 23 October 2026.7 min
- Why do Riftbound products sell above their launch price?Riftbound products sell above their launch price when more players want them than there are copies. Riot has said that demand for Origins went far past what it expected, and limited editions, cards found in one box only and rare printings push some prices higher still.7 min
- How long is a Riftbound product sold?Riftbound products carry no end date. Riot has promised to keep the booster packs of a set available at least as long as the set is legal in Standard, which for every set from Origins to Radiance means until the start of 2028. Decks and starter boxes can be reprinted when needed, and collector sets are sold once.7 min
- Does Riot reprint sold-out Riftbound products?Yes, for the products made for play. Riot has promised to keep every Riftbound booster set available for at least as long as it is legal in Standard, and it has reprinted Origins boosters and Proving Grounds. Collector's products such as the Worlds Bundle 2025 are limited editions that Riot will not reprint.7 min
- Where are Riftbound products sold?Riftbound products are sold mainly in local game stores, which get them from the distributors of UVS Games. Riot also sells booster displays, decks and bundles in its Riot Merch Store through drawings, some chains carry the game, and a few products come only at events.7 min
- How do you spot fake Riftbound products?A fake Riftbound product gives itself away where it differs from what Riot makes. A pack holds 14 cards and an insert, a display holds 24 packs, and every card shows a set code, number, rarity gem and artist that match the card list. Real products come from game stores and Riot's Merch Store.7 min
