Riftbound Legends

A Legend is the card a Riftbound deck is built around. It starts the game in play, in the Legend zone beside the deck, and it stays there for the whole game: it never attacks, is never attacked and cannot be removed unless a card says so. What it gives the deck is its two domains, which every card in the main deck and every rune has to stay within, and an ability that is on from the first turn to the last.

Every Legend is a champion of League of Legends. The champion's name is the Legend's tag, and the tag does two things: it lets the champion's signature cards into the deck, and it names the champion unit the deck may set aside as its chosen champion, which starts the game in the Champion zone and is played from there. A deck is a Legend, 40 cards in the main deck, 12 runes and 3 battlefields, with up to 3 copies of a card and no more than 3 signature cards.

The official card gallery lists 57 Legends across six sets: 12 in Origins, 4 in Proving Grounds, 12 in Spiritforged, 12 in Unleashed, 9 in Vendetta and 8 in Radiance so far. They belong to 56 champions, so one champion has a second Legend in other domains. All of them are printed at Rare, and 86 come again as showcase printings with the Showcase gem, overnumbered or signed by the artist, which play exactly like the standard card and are listed on each card's page.
