About Riftbound Special Cards

A special card is an alternate art printing with a numbering of its own. Where an alternate art card keeps the number of the card it reprints with the letter a after it, a special card is numbered SP1, SP2 and so on, out of the special cards of the set: SP1/006 in Vendetta, SP1/005 in Radiance. It carries the hexagonal Showcase gem and plays exactly like the card it reprints, with the same name, text and cost, and counts as a copy of it in a deck.

The numbering sets a skin line apart: Vendetta uses it for the Crystal Rose skins from Wild Rift and Radiance uses it for K/DA, the pop group of Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, Kai'Sa and Seraphine. Riot draws the special cards from the booster packs at the same rate as the other alternate art cards, about 2 per display of 24 packs.

The official card gallery lists 11 special cards across two sets: 6 in Vendetta and 5 in Radiance so far, 9 champions in all. Each is a champion unit of the set in the artwork of the skin, and the champion's regular printing is listed on the card's own page.

The list below shows the special cards by set, the newest first. Open a card for its regular printing, its text and its prices.
