Every set of Riftbound: the League of Legends trading card game has a fixed size, and that size is printed on each of its cards. The number after the slash in the collector number at the bottom of a card, such as 251/298 on Loose Cannon, is the number of cards in its set. Riot fills those numbers with the cards of the set itself: its units, spells, gear, Legends and battlefields.

That number is not everything a set holds. Collector printings with new art come on top of it, and the later sets number their tokens and runes apart, so the answer depends on what you count.

How many cards does each Riftbound set have?

A main set of Riftbound has between 166 and 298 numbered cards. Origins, the first set, is by far the largest. Spiritforged and Unleashed come close to 220 cards each, and Vendetta and Radiance hold a little under 170, Radiance with its release on 23 October 2026. The table counts the numbered cards of every main set and shows how they are divided.

Unleashed (UNL)219301215
Vendetta (VEN)16623910
Radiance (RAD)16723910

Each set fills its numbers in much the same order: the cards of the six domains first, then the Legends with the signature cards of their champions, then the battlefields, with the four tokens of Origins just before them. Radiance adds one card after its battlefields, the colorless champion unit Neeko, Blending In at 167/167. The other main sets end on a battlefield: Zaun Warrens at 298/298 closes Origins, Veiled Temple at 221/221 closes Spiritforged, Vaults of Helia at 219/219 closes Unleashed and Threshold of the Gray at 166/166 closes Vendetta. The row below shows the last numbered card of each main set.

The Proving Grounds starter box has a small numbered set of its own. Its 24 cards carry the code OGS and run from 001/024 to 024/024, among them four Legends such as Dark Child for Annie, and none of them has a showcase printing.

What makes Origins bigger than the sets after it?

Origins holds more kinds of card inside its numbering than any set after it. Each of its six domains has 41 places, against 30 in Spiritforged and Unleashed and 23 in Vendetta and Radiance. Origins has 24 battlefields where the later sets have 15 or 10, and it counts cards that the later sets number apart: one basic rune of each domain, such as the Fury Rune at 007/298, and four tokens at 271 to 274, three Recruits and a Sprite. Riot called Spiritforged smaller than Origins when it announced the 221 new cards of the second set in November 2025. Vendetta and Radiance also bring nine new Legends each instead of twelve.

Are runes and tokens part of a set?

Runes and tokens come with the sets, but only Origins counts them in its size. From Spiritforged on, a token carries a T and a number of its own, such as the Recruit at VEN · T04. The basic runes of the later sets carry an R, from R01 for Fury to R06 for Order, such as the Fury Rune at VEN · R01. Neither adds to the number after the slash. Both come in the last slot of a booster pack, which holds a token, a rune or now and then an alternate art rune, such as the Fury Rune of Radiance at RAD · R01a.

What comes on top of the numbered cards?

Showcase printings come on top of the numbered cards. A showcase printing is a collector version of a card that is already in the set, with new art and the gold hexagonal Showcase gem, and none of them adds to the number after the slash. There are five kinds so far.

Each of the first four main sets has between 48 and 66 showcase printings, not counting runes, as the table shows.

The mix changes from set to set. Origins has 24 alternate art units and an overnumbered and a signed printing of each of its 12 Legends, as well as six alternate art runes. Spiritforged has 24 alternate art units and 30 overnumbered cards, 12 of which also come signed, which are the numbers Riot gave for the set. Unleashed has 30 alternate art units, 18 overnumbered cards, 12 signed Legends and its Ultimate Rare. Vendetta has 18 alternate art units, 31 overnumbered cards, 9 signed Legends and 6 Crystal Rose special cards.

Promo cards add nothing to the size of a set either, since a Nexus Night promo keeps the number of the card it reprints, with a b added for a chase card or a rune, as the article on Nexus Night promo cards explains.

How many cards does Radiance have?

Radiance, the fifth set, with its release on 23 October 2026, is numbered to 167, one card more than Vendetta. Its showcase printings include 18 alternate art units, six alternate art runes with a musical theme and five K/DA special cards numbered SP1/005 to SP5/005, ending with Seraphine, Not Alone. Overnumbered printings of its nine Legends and of seven champion units run from 168 to 183, such as Starry-Eyed Songstress at 174/167, and the Ultimate Rare Packed Amphitheater closes the run at 184/167. In its overview of Radiance, Riot says the overnumbered Legends can also be found signed, such as the signed Starry-Eyed Songstress, and Riot counts the showcase cards of Radiance at 61 in all.

Will the next sets be bigger?

Yes, by Riot's own count. In its plans for the sets into 2027, published on 3 August 2026, Riot gave each set a card count: 167 cards with 61 showcase cards for Radiance, 239 cards with 93 showcase cards for Legacy and 264 cards with 67 showcase cards for The Reckoning. By that count, Legacy holds 72 cards more than Radiance and The Reckoning 25 more than Legacy, and none of the three reaches the 298 cards of Origins. Legacy, the sixth set, with its release on 29 January 2027, is the first set Riot built for drafting, and The Reckoning, the seventh set, follows with its release on 30 April 2027.

Riot's count of 167 cards for Radiance is the number printed after the slash on its cards. Riot did not say what the totals for Legacy and The Reckoning take in, so those cannot yet be set beside a printed number. UVS Games, which manufactures the game, gives a different figure for Radiance in its dates and details for stores: over 180 cards, among them more than 60 showcase cards.

Every set has its own page in the card list, from Origins to Radiance, which can be sorted by card number, and the overnumbered and alternate art cards have pages of their own. The rarities of a set split its numbered cards by Common, Uncommon, Rare and Epic, and a collector who wants to complete a set turns these numbers into a plan.
