Radiance is the fifth main set of Riftbound: the League of Legends trading card game. Its cards carry the set code RAD, and its release on 23 October 2026 is the same day in English, French and Chinese. Riot Games built the set around music and performance, with some of the bands of the League of Legends universe on stage, and introduced it in its plans for the sets into 2027 with the line "Own the Stage. The World is Watching."

Which champions does Radiance bring?

Radiance has nine new Legends, for Ekko, Evelynn, Jarvan IV, K'Sante, Mordekaiser, Orianna, Riven, Seraphine and Ziggs. Six of these champions are on a Riftbound card for the first time: Jarvan IV, K'Sante, Mordekaiser, Orianna, Seraphine and Ziggs. Ekko, Evelynn and Riven already had a champion unit in an earlier set, such as Ekko, Recurrent in Origins, and now get their first Legend.

Each of the nine champions comes with a Legend in two domains, two champion units, one Rare and one Epic, and an Epic signature card. The Legends ask for very different decks.

  • Starry-Eyed Songstress, the Legend of Seraphine, is Mind and Order. You may exhaust it together with three of your units to make a spell cost 2 Energy less.
  • Agony's Embrace, the Legend of Evelynn, is Body and Chaos. Once each turn, when you play a card from face down, you draw a card, and on an opponent's turn you then discard one. It is built for Hidden cards.
  • Lady of Clockwork, the Legend of Orianna, is Calm and Mind. At the start of your Main Phase you may pay 1 Energy to turn one of your gear into a unit, with Might equal to its Energy cost, until you choose another gear.
  • Hexplosives Expert, the Legend of Ziggs, is Fury and Chaos. For 1 Energy, one Power of any domain and an exhaust, it plays a Bomb token to a battlefield.
  • Boy Who Shattered Time, the Legend of Ekko, is Fury and Mind. It uses Empower, a keyword that came into the game with Vendetta, and once it is empowered it can disempower itself to make the next unit you play this turn cost less, at the price of that unit being killed at the end of the turn.

Seven more champions have a Rare or Epic champion unit in the set and no Legend there. Graves, Lulu and Neeko get their first cards, while Ahri, Akali, Heimerdinger and Kai'Sa get new ones. Neeko, Blending In is the first champion unit without a domain, so a deck of any domains can play her. The champions page shows each of them with all of their cards.

Which new mechanics does Radiance add?

Radiance adds three keywords: Deploy, Show Off and Disarm. They are rules 830 to 832 of the Core Rules updated on 9 October 2026, which come into force on 16 October 2026 with the Radiance patch.

  • Deploy is a keyword on gear. A gear with Deploy is played only to a battlefield, where it stays and helps the units around it, and it is killed when an opponent holds that battlefield. Banner of Conquest gives your units at its battlefield Assault, so they have +1 Might while they are attackers.
  • Show Off unlocks an extra effect. As you play a card with Show Off, you may reveal a card of the kind it names from your hand, or pick one of your own on the board. Primordial Roar asks you to show off a unit, and if you do, it deals damage equal to that unit's Might to a unit, so a big unit in your hand turns the spell into removal.
  • Disarm is a keyword on units. When a unit with Disarm attacks, it gives an enemy unit at the same battlefield 1 less Might for the turn, and Disarm 2 takes away 2. Like Assault, it adds up: Clanging Sentry gives your Mechs Disarm, so with two copies of Clanging Sentry in play your Mechs have Disarm 2.

Two more ideas run through the set. The first is the Bomb, a new gear token with Deploy. When it dies, it deals 2 to an enemy unit at its battlefield and kills your other Bombs there, so one explosion can set off the rest. Cards such as Amateur Demolitionist play a Bomb when you play them. The second is gear that becomes a unit through Lady of Clockwork, and an Equipment that becomes a unit this way comes off the unit it was attached to.

How are the 167 cards of Radiance divided?

Radiance numbers 167 cards, from 001/167 to 167/167. The six domains come first with 23 cards each, followed by the Legends with the signature cards of their champions, the ten battlefields and Neeko at 167/167. The six basic runes, numbered R01 to R06, and the Bomb token are numbered apart and are not counted in the table.

Every domain has gear with Deploy, and three of the nine signature cards are gear, among them The Ball for Orianna. At 167 numbered cards, Radiance is one of the smaller sets: Origins numbers 298 cards, Spiritforged 221, Unleashed 219 and Vendetta 166.

Riot gives two counts for the set. Its announcement of 3 August 2026 lists 167 cards, 61 of them showcase cards, which matches the 167 printed on the cards. A press release about the August 2026 State of the Game update speaks of 180 cards, 66 of them showcase cards, and Riot has not said what that larger count takes in.

Which special printings does Radiance have?

Radiance has every kind of showcase printing so far. Each one carries the gold Showcase gem and plays exactly like the standard card.

Which products does Radiance come in?

Radiance comes in four products dated 23 October 2026, and there are Radiance playmats and art sleeves as well. Like Vendetta, the set has no Champion Decks, and a Showdown box takes their place.

  • The Radiance Booster Pack holds 14 cards. Its launch price is $4.99, and the slots of a booster pack are seven Commons, three Uncommons, one foil card, one Rare or Epic, one card that can be a Rare, an Epic or a showcase printing, and one token, rune or alternate art rune.
  • The Radiance Booster Display, which players also call a booster box, holds 24 booster packs. Its launch price is $119.99, and it is priced at $145.57 today.
  • The Radiance Showdown Decks set a Seraphine deck in Mind and Order against an Evelynn deck in Body and Chaos. The box holds two decks of 56 cards, two booster packs, two paper playmats, two deck boxes and a rulebook. Its launch price is $34.99, and it is priced at $58.47 today. Riot will publish the full decklists on 16 October 2026.
  • The Radiance Vault is a storage box with six booster packs, a set of 36 basic runes and three full art foil tokens. Its launch price is $34.99, and it is priced at $51.19 today.

Most players get Radiance products at a local game store, and the event finder shows the stores near you. Single Radiance cards come from stores as well, from Cardmarket in Europe, from TCGplayer in the United States and from CardTrader on both sides of the Atlantic.

When can you play with Radiance cards?

The first chance is a Pre-Rift event in a store, from 16 to 22 October 2026, played as a Sealed event. Each player gets a Pre-Rift kit with a pack of 15 cards built around one of the nine new Legends, five Radiance booster packs and, while supplies last, a promo Heimerdinger, Academy Instructor. Riot's guide to the Radiance Pre-Rift says the promo cannot go into the Sealed deck, while the regular Heimerdinger, Academy Instructor from a booster pack can.

Radiance joins Standard on its release date: the Tournament Rules of 9 October 2026 list it with a release date of 23 October 2026 (rule 601.3.c.6). In the Radiance season, each store may hold two Summoner Skirmish tournaments between 9 November 2026 and 17 January 2027, and the Nexus Night promo packs get new Radiance cards.

Every card of the set is in the Radiance card list, the Radiance previews page shows the cards in the order they were revealed, and the pack opener lets you open Radiance packs at Riot's odds. Radiance follows Vendetta, the fourth set, and the sets that come after Radiance start with Legacy, dated 29 January 2027.
