Which other promo cards are there?

Beyond the Nexus Night packs, Riftbound hands out promo cards at Pre-Rift events, Summoner Skirmishes, Regional Qualifiers and Regional Championships, to judges and at store demos, and a few come in bundles sold at events. Each promo reprints an existing card and plays exactly like it.

The Nexus Night packs are the promo cards most players know, but Riftbound: the League of Legends trading card game gives out promo cards at almost every kind of official event: Pre-Rift events, Summoner Skirmishes, Regional Qualifiers and Regional Championships. Judges get a promo of their own, the store demos of the first season had one for new players, and a few promos come in bundles sold at events.

Each of these promos reprints a card from one of the sets, most often a champion unit. A promo keeps the name and the rules text of that card and usually adds a mark: a P after the number, a PROMO banner at the foot of the card, or a stamp such as TOP 8, CHAMPION or JUDGE. Apart from the three Secret Garden cards, the pictures in this article show the regular printings.

Which promo card comes with a Pre-Rift event?

Every Pre-Rift event comes with a promo card. Pre-Rift is the Sealed event that stores hold in the week before a set is released, and each player kit holds a ready-made deck of 15 cards, five booster packs and one Pre-Rift promo card. Since Unleashed, the promo has been one champion unit per set.

Riot's guides to the Unleashed, Vendetta and Radiance Pre-Rift events all say that the promo cannot go into the Sealed deck built at the event. The Tournament Rules allow for this: at a limited event, the head judge may name promotional cards that are not part of a player's card pool (rule 602.1.a.1.a). Stores hand the promo out while their supply lasts.

The first two sets worked differently. For Origins, the promos came at the release event on 31 October 2025, where every player who came got a prize pack of two cards: one of three champion units stamped ORIGINS, Viktor, Leader, Jinx, Rebel or Lee Sin, Ascetic, and one of the twelve Origins Legends. For Spiritforged, Riot's preview of the set said the Pre-Rift kit would hold a Legend of the set and a champion unit with a promo stamp in the same way.

What promos do Summoner Skirmish events give out?

A Summoner Skirmish gives out three kinds of promo. It is the competitive store tournament that a store can hold twice in each set season, and a store that registers its Skirmish in time receives a kit with 32 participation promos, eight Top Cut promos and one Champion promo with a playmat for the winner, as UVS Games' dates and details for Radiance list. Each Skirmish of a season has cards of its own.

The two Skirmishes of the Radiance season show how it works. The first, with events from 9 November 2026, has Graves, Blasting Through as its participation promo and Akali, Brash for the top cut and the winner, with a TOP 8 stamp on one and a CHAMPION stamp on the other. The second, with events from 14 December 2026, has Lulu, Whimsical for every player and Ahri, Confident for the top cut and the winner, with the same two stamps. Riot's pictures show these promos with the art of the regular cards and a P after the number.

The earlier seasons followed the same pattern. In Origins, the participation promo was Tryndamere, Barbarian, and the top cut and the winner got Blitzcrank, Impassive as well. For Spiritforged, Riot's preview season article promised promo equipment cards for both Skirmishes. The Unleashed Skirmishes gave Rengar, Trophy Hunter and Lillia, Protector of Dreams to their top cuts and winners, and the Vendetta Skirmishes gave Illaoi, Prophet of the Great Kraken and Kayle, Justified, as Riot's overviews of Unleashed and Vendetta show.

Riot will retire Summoner Skirmish after the Radiance season, and from 2027 the Riftbound Challenge Series will take its place. Riot's announcement of August 2026 does not name its prizes.

Which promos do the big tournaments give out?

The large tournaments give promos to the players who place well, and the Regional Championships give one to every player. For the first English Regional Qualifier, in Houston on 5 to 7 December 2025, Riot's prize list gave the Top 8 and the winner a foil Miss Fortune, Buccaneer with alternate art. In the Vendetta season, Riot's prize list for the Regional Qualifiers gave an alternate art promo of Jayce, Brilliant Inventor to every player in the Top 128, and promos of the same card with exclusive art to the Top 8 and the winner. On top of that, the best-performing deck with each Legend wins a Best-Of prize: a holographic metal card of that Legend, which Riot says is legal in tournaments. Riot has said that these metal Legends will continue at the Riftbound Regionals, the new name of the Regional Qualifiers from 2027.

The two Regional Championships of 2026, in Stuttgart on 6 to 8 November 2026 and in Las Vegas on 11 to 13 December 2026, will hand out three printings of the Radiance unit K'Sante, Courageous, according to Riot's pages on the European and North American events. Every qualified player gets one with art by Pixelverse and a commemorative playmat. The players who reach Day 2 get one with the alternate art by HXY, and the Top 8 get one with new art by TUTU, a TOP 8 stamp and a playmat of its own. Riot kept the winner's promo for a later reveal. The Best-Of prizes there are plated Legends with overnumbered art, and Riot's first look shows the four Proving Grounds Legends with new art and a REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP stamp.

Do judges and new players get promos too?

Yes, both have had promos of their own. In its announcement of the first English Regional Qualifier, Riot named a foil Heimerdinger, Inventor with a JUDGE stamp as the first reward for judges, which UVS Games mails to a judge once their first event is logged. For Spiritforged, Riot said the judge promos and the Regional Qualifier prizes would be equipment cards.

New players could get one as well. In the first season, stores that taught the game with demo kits received a small number of promos for the players who joined a demo, and Riot's picture of them showed a promo printing of Teemo, Scout.

Local game stores have one more promo for new players and the people who teach them. On 31 March 2026, Riot announced a promo printing of Flash, the Proving Grounds Reaction that moves up to two of your units to base, for stores to hand out from late April 2026. Stores give it as a reward for taking part in events such as Nexus Night, as a thank you to players who teach the game, as a reward for bringing a new player to the store and as a gift with a Riftbound product. It carries a promo mark at the bottom, and Riot asked stores not to sell it as a single card.

Which promos come in a product?

A few promos are sold rather than handed out. The Secret Garden Bundle, sold only at selected events such as Gen Con 2026 and the Regional Qualifiers in Barcelona, Singapore and Los Angeles, holds three alternate art cards from Unleashed by Fireball Studio, numbered SGN 001 to 003 with a P. They are the Lillia Legend Bashful Bloom, the Ivern Legend Green Father and the unit Ultrasoft Poro. The bundle has a launch price of $70 and also holds three Unleashed booster packs. Today it sells for $295.89.

Other bundles and box sets carry a promo printing too, such as the alternate art promo of the Akali Legend Rogue Assassin in the English Gift of the Rift Bundle, which Riot dates to 4 December 2026.

Can you play these promos in a deck?

Yes. A promo has the same name as the card it reprints, and the Tournament Rules allow a card in a deck when it has the same name as a card from a set that is legal in the format (rule 601.2.a). A promo also counts toward the limit of three copies of a card in the main deck (Core Rules 103.3.b), so one regular Akali, Brash and two promo copies make three. The one exception is a Sealed event such as a Pre-Rift, where the head judge can keep a promo handed out at the event out of the card pool. Apart from that, the rules that make a Riftbound deck legal treat a promo like any other copy of the card.

Where can you find these promo cards?

The surest way to get an event promo is to play the event. The event finder shows the Pre-Rift events and Summoner Skirmishes near you, and the major events page lists the Regional Championships with the dates of each Pre-Rift week and Skirmish window. The promo cards list gathers the Nexus Night promos of every season and the three Secret Garden cards.

A promo that has already been handed out is found as a single card, like any other card: at local game stores, on Cardmarket in Europe, on TCGplayer in the United States and on CardTrader on both sides of the Atlantic. Today the Secret Garden Bashful Bloom sells for $127.22 as a single card. These promos from bundles are also among the cards that come only in boxed products, a larger group that has an article of its own.

Prices marked with a dot are live market prices.
