Which cards come only in boxed products?

Almost every Riftbound card can be pulled from a booster pack, and the ready-made decks hold the same cards. The exceptions are the 24 cards of the Proving Grounds starter box and the collector printings in a few bundles and box sets, such as the Arcane Box Set and the Secret Garden Bundle.

Almost every card in Riftbound: the League of Legends trading card game can be pulled from a booster pack. The ready-made decks that come out beside each set are, with one exception, built from those same cards.

The cards that never turn up in a pack fall into two groups. The first is the 24 cards of the Proving Grounds starter box. The second is collector printings: a card that is also in the sets, printed again with new art or a new finish for one bundle or box set.

Do Champion Decks and Showdown Decks hold cards of their own?

No. Every card in the Champion Decks of Origins, Spiritforged and Unleashed, and in the Showdown Decks of Vendetta, is a regular card of a main set, the same card a booster pack can hold. Loose Cannon, the Legend of the Origins Champion Deck: Jinx, is an Origins Rare. Piltover Enforcer leads the Unleashed Champion Deck: Vi, and Master of Shadows leads the Zed deck of the Vendetta Showdown Decks.

These products add booster packs rather than cards of their own. A Champion Deck comes with one pack, the Showdown Decks come with two, and a Vault holds six packs and 36 basic runes in a storage box. The decks also hold printed tokens, such as the four tokens of the Vi deck with a Bird on one side and Gold on the other, but under the Core Rules a token is not a card (rule 185) and anything can stand in for one (rule 181).

Which cards are only in Proving Grounds?

The Proving Grounds starter box holds 24 cards of its own, with the set code OGS and the numbers 001 to 024. They include the four Starter Legends, such as Dark Child for Annie, signature cards such as Tibbers, and Commons and Uncommons such as Incinerate and Zephyr Sage. Every other card in its four decks is an Origins card.

For its first months, the box was the only place to find these 24 cards. In the Spiritforged season of Nexus Night, from February to May 2026, the 16 Rares and Epics among them also came as foil promo cards in Nexus Night packs. The eight Commons and Uncommons were not among them. One card has since come back in booster packs as well. Lux, Crownguard also exists as a special printing of Vendetta, with Crystal Rose art from Wild Rift.

The Proving Grounds cards are legal in Standard, where the Tournament Rules list them as the Origins supplemental set (rule 601.3.c.1). The next starter box breaks with this. Proving Grounds, 2nd Edition, with a release date of 19 February 2027, will hold four new decks for Heimerdinger, Karma, Vladimir and Illaoi, and Riot has said that it will hold no card that cannot be found in booster packs.

Which bundles come with a promo card of their own?

A few bundles hold cards printed for that bundle alone, each a new printing of a card from the sets with new art.

The Secret Garden Bundle holds alternate art printings of three Unleashed cards: Bashful Bloom, the Legend of Lillia, Green Father, the Legend of Ivern, and Ultrasoft Poro. The three carry a set code of their own and the numbers SGN 001 to 003. The bundle has a launch price of $70 and comes with three Unleashed booster packs. Riot has sold it only at selected events, the first of them Gen Con 2026.

  • Worlds Bundle 2025. Riot sold the bundle in its own store from 28 October 2025 at $99.99, in limited numbers. It holds a Panda Teemo promo card, an alternate art printing of Swift Scout, the Legend of Teemo, and three oversized battlefield cards that celebrate the cities that hosted Worlds 2025, with a foiled playmat, a deck box and sleeves.
  • Lunar Revel Bundle 2026. The bundle holds an alternate art promo card of Mythmaker Irelia, a printing of Blade Dancer, the Legend of Irelia, and three Spiritforged booster packs, at $39.99. Everything in it, the card included, is in Simplified Chinese.
  • Gift of the Rift Bundle. With a release date of 4 December 2026, the bundle will hold 16 booster packs from the first five sets, 36 foil basic runes and an alternate art printing of Rogue Assassin, the Legend of Akali. The Chinese edition holds a promo card of Kennen in its place. Riot had not announced its price by October 2026.

Which collector sets are built around special printings?

Two collector products are built around cards made for them alone, with no booster packs inside.

The Arcane Box Set holds six foil champion units from Origins with art from Arcane, the animated series, in a display case. The six champions are Jinx, Vi, Heimerdinger, Caitlyn, Viktor and Warwick, and the cards include Caitlyn, Patrolling and Warwick, Hunter. Riot took preorders in its store from 2 September 2025 at $69.99.

The Riftbound x T1 2025 Worlds Champion Collection celebrates T1, the team that won the 2025 League of Legends World Championship. Each of its five players picked a champion unit, which Riot printed again with new art in a frame of its own. Doran picked Ambessa, The Wolf, Faker picked Galio, Indefatigable, Gumayusi picked Miss Fortune, Buccaneer, Keria picked Seraphine, Not Alone and Oner picked Xin Zhao, Vigilant. The collection comes in two editions, and Riot sells the English edition of each through a drawing in its own store.

  • The Signature Edition, at $360, gives the five cards a new foil effect. One card in every set is numbered from 1 to 2025 and carries the player's signature stamped in gold. Riot made 10,125 sets in each language.
  • The Player Bundle, at $70, holds the same five cards with different art, together with sleeves, a deck box, a binder and a metal die.

Can you play these printings in a deck?

Yes. The Tournament Rules allow a card in a deck when it comes from a set that is legal in the format, or when it has the same name as a card from such a set (rule 601.2.a). A Secret Garden Bashful Bloom therefore plays as the Unleashed Bashful Bloom, and an Arcane Caitlyn, Patrolling plays as the Origins card. Under the Core Rules a card printed in another language has the same name as its English counterpart (rule 132.3), so a printing in Simplified Chinese counts as well.

One of the T1 cards has to wait for its set. Seraphine, Not Alone belongs to Radiance, with its release on 23 October 2026, so its printing in the collection cannot be played in Standard before that day.

Because the rules count copies by name, a special printing also counts toward the limit of three copies of a card in a main deck (rule 103.3.b of the Core Rules): two Unleashed copies of Ultrasoft Poro and one Ultrasoft Poro from the Secret Garden Bundle make three.

Where can you get one of these cards on its own?

A player who wants only the card gets it as a single card. A local game store is the first place to ask, and the marketplaces list singles too: Cardmarket in Europe, TCGplayer in the United States and CardTrader on both sides of the ocean.

Several of these products were made in limited numbers, so sellers set the price. The Secret Garden Bundle has a launch price of $70 and sells for $295.89 today, and its Bashful Bloom alone sells for $127.22. The Arcane Box Set has a launch price of $69.99 and sells for $528.12.

Where can you see every product and its cards?

The products guide lists every Riftbound product with what it holds, the promo cards of each bundle included. The promo cards list shows the three Secret Garden cards, and the Proving Grounds card list holds all 24 cards of the starter box.

Cards handed out at events rather than sold in a box, such as the Pre-Rift promo of Heimerdinger, Academy Instructor, reach a player by taking part in the event, and the articles on Nexus Night promo cards and other promo cards list which event gives out which card.
